Pahrump: An RVers Destination
Located less than an hour’s drive northwest of Las Vegas, Pahrump serves as the Eastern Headquarters to Death Valley National Park, and is one of Nevada’s more RV-friendly destinations.

Tucked into a long, narrow desert valley, Pahrump is surrounded by public lands with Charleston Peak and the Spring Mountains to the east and the Nopah Mountains to the west. It boasts nine major RV parks and resorts making Pahrump a great base camp for adventures in nearby Death Valley National Park, Dumont Dunes, Shoshone, and Tecopa Hot Springs in California; and Amargosa Big Dunes, Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, and the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area in Nevada.

The extreme sports lover will find challenging hiking and biking trails in the region’s high-desert terrain, while history buffs can explore several ghost towns, ancient petroglyphs in the nearby mountains, the charcoal kilns in Wheeler Springs Pass, and the Old Spanish Trail in southern Pahrump – established in 1829. Of course, one can just enjoy the weather in Pahrump – Fall and Winter range from highs of 65 and 55 to lows of 40 and 35; Spring warms to the high 60s in March and to the high 70s in April.

Most of the RV parks and resorts in Pahrump offer Group Rally Areas. Call the Chamber office (at 775-727-5800 or toll-free at 866-722-5800) before your group arrives to arrange for tourist packets for everyone. The Chamber will fill each bag with all kinds of information on area attractions, historical sites, and places of interest in and around Pahrump.
