Pahrump is located in the southeast corner of Nye County (bold outline on map). It is 60 miles west of Las Vegas and 60 miles east of Death Valley. Pahrump is about 26 miles long and 8 to 12 miles wide, an area of approximately 277 square miles. Surrounding the Valley are the Spring Mountain range to the east and the Nopah Mountains to the west.
